Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Sunday, November 24, 1907, page 8, column 4 Mortuary - Yesterday morning at 8 o’clock, G. H. Shimer, succumbed to stomach trouble from which he had been a sufferer for some years. Deceased was aged about 74 years, and a native of Ohio. He was admitted to the hospital about two month ago, but gradually grew worse until the end came. He was a blacksmith by occupation. He lived for several years in McCabe, where he was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him. He leaves no known relatives in this section. His remains were taken in charge by Maus & Shannon, undertakers to be prepared for burial. Interment will be in the Citizen’s cemetery. H. Shimer were laid to rest in the Citizen's cemetery yesterday afternoon, at 2 o'clock. The funeral was under the direction of Maus & Shannon, undertakers. Transcriber's note: Mr. Shimer is buried in an unmarked grave in the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
