SHELMAN, Cynthia Louise


The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, May 07, 2015 Cynthia Louise Shelman passed away May 4. She was taken from us suddenly and is now with her beloved Norman. She's now in the arms of Jesus. She will be sorely missed by her daughter Terra Shelman and her son Thomas Shelman. Cynthis was born on April 14, 1937 at Hollywood Hospital in Los Angeles. She went to St. Agnes H.S. After graduation she met and married her lifelong mate at 19 years old. The loving couple were married for 54 years. She was a secretary and housewife and lived in Orange County until 2000 when she moved to Cottonwood and has enjoyed her retirement here for the last 15 years. Cynthia had the warmest personality with a witty sense of humor. Everybody that met her instantly liked her. As Cynthia always said "Offer it up" and "So be it." We can all learn from her example. She will be missed by all that knew her, so toast her often, she would like that. A funeral mass will be held for Cynthia at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 700 N. Bill Gray Road in Cottonwood on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11 AM. A Celebration of Cynthia's Life will be held at the American Legion Post 25, on Calvary Way in Cottonwood on Saturday, May 9, 2015 beginning at noon. This is a potluck event so please bring a dish and a memory to share. Cynthia will be inurned at a graveside service at All Souls Cemetery. 700 N. Bill Gray Road, in Cottonwood on Friday May15, 2015.
