Timpe, 60, of Phoenix, Ariz., and formerly of Telegraph Road, died Friday in Veterans Administration Hospital, Phoenix. He worked 15 years for the postal service, Phoenix, retiring in 1979 due to disability. He was an army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Elvera; mother, Mrs. Gertrude Timpe, brothers, Daniel, John, Robert, Carl, and Donald; sisters, Mrs. Marilyn Dowidat, Mrs. Violet Winterfield, and Mrs. Adeline Lake. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Messinger Mortuary, Scottsdale, Ariz. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in echo Meadows Church of Christ, Oregon. The family requests that any tributes be in the form of contributions to the church.
