The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Tuesday, May 12, 2015 Jean S. Bright July 26, 1918 - March 26, 2015 Jean S. Bright of Clarkdale, Arizona died March 26 at her home in Clarkdale, Arizona, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her five children: Melody Bright of Chimayo, New Mexico, Merrill Bright of Richmond, California, Spring Bright of Cottonwood, Arizona, Gayle Bright of Maui, Hawaii, and Penny Bright of Cottonwood, Arizona. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild Jean was born in Dayton, Ohio where she grew up and married Elvin M. Bright. They moved to Encino, California in 1951 and raised their family there. Jean moved to Clarkdale, Arizona in 1998. She was a gifted artist who wrote poetry, television screenplays, a novel and she also composed music. She taught tap dance and bridge. She loved to paint and display her paintings and she loved her cats. She will be dearly missed by many.
