Henrietta “Retta” Suzanna Masloff departed this world for Heaven on April 13, 2015. She was born on July 14, 1960 to Henry and Rose Fresquez in Grants, N.M. However, they moved to Globe, Ariz. when she was four years old. They remained there and she went through school in Globe.
She married Chris Fritz and they had their two daughters, Crystal and Ashley. She graduated from Apollo College as a Medical Assistant. Retta moved to Apache Junction, Ariz. in 1983 as she continued to work in the medical field and raise her two daughters as a single parent.
She married her best friend and current husband, Brian Masloff, in 1992 and moved to Colorado. Retta continued to work as a Medical Assistant and raise her daughters. She retired to help her daughter, Ashley further her education and later help care for her granddaughter. Retta was fun loving and full of energy. She never stood still and mastered the art of multi-tasking. She loved to garden, exercise and go thrift store shopping. More than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. When Retta walked into a room all of the children were instantly drawn to her.
Retta had a strong Catholic faith and was very active in her church community. She enjoyed spreading the Word of The Lord through her daily activities and travels.
Everywhere she went she made new friends. She loved taking pictures and was famous for making people stop for a picture.
Retta is preceeded in death by her daughter, Ashley Fritz.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Masloff; her daughter, Crystal (Manny) Bejarano, and her granddaughter, Arianna Bejarano; her parents, Henry and Rose Fresquez; her sisters, Gloria (Terry) Sonico, Pat (Brian) Miller, and Debbie Ruiz; her brother, Manny Fresquez; many nieces and nephews and many extended family members.
Retta was laid to rest in Colorado on April 17, 2015.
