Boudy Martin Pena, 73, died Sunday, May 17, 2015, in St. Johns. He was born June 12, 1941, in St. Johns, the son of Predicando P. and Delores Ulibarri Pena.
Boudy played basketball and football for St. Johns High School. He was a bull rider and saddle bronc rider. Boudy served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years, worked construction as a heavy equipment operator and was a barber.
He is survived by his daughters, Lora (George) Valencia of Avondale, Mina (Al) Green, Maria Sanchez and Genevieve Sevec, all of Phoenix; eight grandchildren, Martin, Bryant, Marissa, Jovany, Cody, Emilio, Lacy and Aryzema; brothers Ray Pena and Junior Pena; and sisters Barbara, Eva, Patsy, Regina, Cathy and Anamae.
Boudy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Telesfor Pena and Leroy Pena, and sister Sara Baca.
A rosary will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at St. Johns the Baptist Catholic Church with a memorial Mass following at 12:30 p.m.
Interment will follow the Mass at the St. Johns Catholic Cemetery.
