Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Sunday, January 21, 1912, page 8, column 4 Popular Pioneer Is Called To Rest The many friends throughout Arizona of John Quinlan, one of the oldest of pioneer residents, will regret to learn that he passed away in this city, yesterday, after a long illness, due to complication of diseases. the deceased first came to Arizona over 40 years ago, and was a miner in all of the principal camps. He enjoyed a good name as an exemplary citizen, and was one of the most generous of men with many friends wherever he was known. He was 81 years, and a native of Ireland. When 21 years old he took out his naturalization papers in Massachusetts, in which state are said to be relatives who survive him. His funeral will be announced later, as soon as relatives are heard from.
