Hassayampa Miner (Wickenburg AZ) Thursday, January 11, 1917, p 1:4 George Brown Passes Away George Brown, a well-known miner of this district, died at his rooms in Wickenburg, Saturday morning, after an illness of some months. Mr. Brown had been in and around the Wickenburg country for something like twenty years, and had many friends who were attracted to him by his honorable and upright character. He was a native of New York, where he has relatives, and has a brother living in Clinton, who has been communicated with. His age is estimated to have been about sixty-five years. His property consisted, besides sufficient money for burial expenses, of mining claims in the Bradshaw country, some of his claims reputed to be very rich. The body was interred at the local cemetery, Sunday afternoon.
