Prescott Evening Courier (AZ) Monday, May 23, 1960, p 2 Early Prescott Educator, Dies Della E. Bonell (Bonnie) Connell, 77, an early Prescott educator, died Friday night in her home at 242 S. Mt. Vernon St. Born August 27, 1882, in Menomonie, Wis., she graduated from the Stout Institute in Menomonie and came here as domestic arts supervisor for Prescott Public Schools at the opening of the 1910 school term. She taught for three years, until her marriage July 19, 1913, to Robert Connell, a native Prescottonian. Mrs. Connell was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and a charter member of the church's St. Mary's Guild. She also held charter membership in the Prescott Elks Ladies Auxiliary and the Arizona Firemen's Ladies Auxiliary. She leaves her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Roberta C. Steffey of Kobe, Japan, and Mrs. Anna Margaret Browning of San Diego, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Lafitte, La Jolla, Calif; and nine grandchildren. She will lie in state tonight from 6 to 9 at the Ruffner Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2pm at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, with Rev. David C. Trimble officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
