Weekly Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, November 27, 1907, page 8, column 5 Death Of Old Resident (From Tuesday's Daily) After suffering for over a year from general debility, the greater part of which time he was confined to the hospital, Isaac Newton Smith died yesterday at noon, at the age of 62. Deceased was a wood contractor by occupation, and previous to being stricken, had been engaged in business with his son in Jerome. The remains were taken in charge by the Maus & Shannon undertaking establishment, to be prepared for burial. His son, who was notified of his death, is expected to arrive from Jerome this morning, when funeral arrangements will be made. Besides his son, he leaves surviving him in Jerome, a daughter. He was an old resident of the county and was respected by all who knew him. ---------------- Weekly Arizona Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, December 4, 1907, page 3, column 2 Smith Laid To Rest The funeral of Isaac Newton Smith took place at 4 o'clock, yesterday afternoon, from the undertaking parlors of Maus & Shannon. Intermant was in the Citizen's cemetery. Transcriber's note: There is no known plot number, so it is not known exactly where in the Citizens Cemetery Mr. Smith is buried.
