CISNEROS, Frankie J.

Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Frankie J Cisneros (February 11, 1929 - June 1, 2015) U.S. Veteran It is with great sadness that the family of Frankie J. Cisneros announces his death. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend. His love of our Lord, family and friends were most important to him. Born in Globe, Flagstaff was his home. He was always quick with his humor and sharp with his remarks. He enjoyed the outdoors and all creatures that crossed his path. He had a kind and gentle heart always at the ready to give clothing or money to the unfortunate individuals that he would encounter in town. And should they have a dog he was quick to give them dog biscuits or dog food for them as well. He was just as generous with his family and friends. Whether it was a shoulder to cry on or just to hang out with to talk and laugh with. He was the one we all would look to for guidance and comfort. Frankie enjoyed working in his wood shop and sitting outside watching the many birds that would frequent his yard. He was a Sunday football sofa coach and would have a standing Super Bowl bet with his daughter every year. Whether he won or not he would send the $1 to her. As for his granddaughter what can be said. He adored her and was so proud to be called “Papa”. She was the sparkle in his eye. His son-in-law Scott was his compadre of mischief and strength. They shared a special bond. Those who knew Frankie rarely saw him without his loving and devoted wife, Magdalena, at his side. Many referred to them as the perfect couple and tried to emulate their love and devotion for one another. As for his daughter he was her “everything”. As with many father daughter relationships theirs was special. Frankie was a veteran of the Korean War. He was proud to have served his country. Frankie is survived by his wife of 60 years, Magdalena, his daughter Teresa and his son-in-law Scott, granddaughter Faith and numerous family and friends. Frankie is predeceased in death by his son Frank, his parents Joe and Hortense, and his brother Richard. We may not have Frankie with us anymore but the memories and his spirit will continue to live within us. Frankie, you are our Spirit in the Sky. Services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, Flagstaff, AZ at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Flagstaff Humane Society, St. Vincent de Paul or Northland Hospice.
