Michael Vincent Scott was born on March 1, 1949, in "beautiful downtown Burbank!" He served his country in the Vietnam War, spending 1967 to 1969 in the U.S. Navy as a radioman on the U.S.S. St. Paul.
He was a preacher for the Church of Christ for 41 years, and also served in several family encampments including Yosemite Family Encampment, Red River Family Encampment, Grand Canyon, and Copper Basin.
After moving to Arizona, he began working on the television show What Do the Scriptures Say and also created the website, reaching millions around the world, answering
biblical questions with biblical answers. He served as the preacher for Mt. Vernon Church of Christ in Prescott for over 17 years.
He left this world for somewhere much better on June 1, 2015 after a valiant battle and surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen Scott; his children, Jeremy Scott and Jessica Scott; his brother Shawn Scott of Colorado; his brother Bill Stewart of Missouri; and sister Tish Schmidt of Utah.
A celebration of Michael's life will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Mt. Vernon Church of Christ, 120 N. Mt. Vernon, Prescott, Arizona.
