Palffy, Bernice M. 92, of Phoenix, was called to the Lord on March 5, 2009.
Born in Chicago, IL May 29, 1916, Bernice moved to Phoenix in 1948. She retired from Bordens in 1969, and spent her time being a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Bernice was a devout member of the First United Methodist Church in Phoenix.
She enjoyed roving with her husband in their travel trailer, summers in Pinetop, and spending time with her family. Being an enormous animal lover, she volunteered for the Pinetop chapter of the AZ Humane Society for 10 years.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Stephen; her daughter and son-in-law, Donald and Sandra Hillegass; 3 grandchildren, Kyle, Brett, and Julie; 3 great-grandchildren, Justin, Monroe, and Adrianna; and beloved Chihuahua, Freddy. Her devotion, love, and grace in life will surely be missed.
A celebration of her life will be held at the graveside at 11 am, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bernice's name to: The Arizona Humane Society.
