Came Too Late To Stay Disease
(From Friday's Daily)
Mrs. Juliet Irene Lofland succumbed to tuberculosis yesterday morning
at her home on South McCormick street after an illness of two years.
She was a native of Ohio. She came here from Colorado with her husband
and child in hopes that the change would stay the progress of the dread
disease which had already undermined her constitution. She gradually
grew worse, however, until death relived her of her sufferings.
Surviving she leaves her husband, Howard Lofland and her daughter, only
four years of age, to mourn the loss of a loving and affectionate wife
and mother.
Funeral will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Ruffner
undertaking parlors. Interment will be in the Citizens' cemetery.
Since making this city her home she endeared herself in a wide circle
of friends who will learn with regret of her untimely death.
