Pamela Jill (Smyth) Bush
The world lost some of its sweetness on June 4, 2015 with the passing of Pamela J. (Smyth) Bush, 71, in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Family and friends meant everything to Pam, and she touched everybody who knew her with her limitless love, kindness and caring.
Pam was born in Renovo, Pennsylvania, on Aug. 15, 1943 to Bernard J. "Jack" Smyth and Eva M. Stone Smyth. She moved with her family to Dover, Delaware in 1953, graduated from Dover High School in 1961 and attended Wesley College in Dover. She later lived in California, Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Tempe, Arizona before settling in Prescott Valley Arizona, in 1998 - maintaining lifelong friendships even back to her early days in Renovo and Dover.
Consistent with her caring nature, Pam worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant until she became disabled. She loved to paint watercolors, play with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and play bingo. She looked forward to family day on Sundays so she could catch up with everything that was going on in everyone's lives and play games. Her wit and humor will be greatly missed at those Sunday afternoon gatherings.
She is survived by three daughters, Kelley (Mark) Haag and Kimberly Simpson of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Karrie (Jeff) Teters of Tempe, Arizona; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Connie Biddle of Dover, Delaware and Lisa Bason of Prescott, Arizona; and brother Joe Smyth of Scottsdale, Arizona - all of whom loved Pam dearly.
The family will hold a private celebration of Pam's life at a later date. Condolences or remembrances can be sent to the family c/o Kelley Haag, 3100 N. Mountain View Drive, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pam's honor can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, to which Pam was a regular donor.
Arrangements were made with The Neptune Society.
