Nathan John “Bad Boy” Browning Sr. went to be with the Lord June 7, 2015, in Whiteriver after a long battle of illness. Nathan has joined his beloved ones, who have passed on for whom his heart never ceased to mourn. He was born May 13, 1978, to Hiawatha John Browning and Sharon Thompson Gatewood.
Nathan (aka Bad Boy) grew up in Cibecue. Bad Boy was an artist and enjoyed music. He constantly read the Bible. He also had three children that he loved so much and cared for.
Nathan is survived by his sons, Nathan Jr. and Delahoya Prince John; daughter Dennisha; mother Sharon Gatewood; aunts Patricia Beatty, Carolyn Kletschka, Rosalita Gregg and Yolanda D. Henry-Stover; grandmothers Joann Dehose-Susan, Nancy B. Dazen and Dorlinda Alekay; grandfathe and Zuni Alekay Sr.; uncles Mark Beatty, Monte Stover Sr., Al Wyatt, Delano Henry Jr. and Bernardo Palmer; and brothers Aaron Browning, Jesse Thompson, Erick Thompson, Amos Thompson, Dennis Williams and Mozh Hume.
Nathan was preceded in death by his stepfather, Major Gatewood; father Hiawatha John Browning Jr.; brothers Jonathan “John Boy” Browning, Alex Browning and Jonathan Robert Browning; godmother Virginia Lewis; grandparents Nicholis and Rose Thompson; and grandmother Rita B. Henry.
A wake for Nathan started Thursday, June 18, at the residence of Mark and Patricia Beatty. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at the North Fork Miracle Church. Interment will follow at the Cibecue Thompson Family Plot.
