SERENO, Joseph (Joe)

Messinger Indian School Mortuary, Scottsdale, Arizona Joseph Sereno March 26, 1933 ~ June 13, 2015 Services: A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10am at the funeral home with a committal service immediately following at Greenwood Memory Lawn in Phoenix. Visitation: A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 6-8pm at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road in Scottsdale. Joe passed away peacefully in his home on June 13, 2013 at age 82. He is survived by his wife Annette and children Lynn, Theresa, Ricardo, and Adrienne; grandchildren Jonathan and Benjamin; older sister Maria (Sevilla). Joe was born in White Plains, NY on March 26, 1933. He served in the Air Force for 21 years and worked at Arcadia Post Office for 30 years. He earned a Good Conduct Medal and Longevity Service Award in the Air Force. After retiring from the post office he volunteered at Papago School and was awarded Icarecorps Volunteer Award. He enjoyed baseball, tennis, bike riding and dancing.
