Aunt & Uncle of Lyle Hodges Die on Highway
Mr. & Mrs. Lester Ben Martin, who were killed in a one car accident near Page February 16, were the aunt and uncle of Lyle Hodges of Wickenburg and Mr. Martin was the uncle of Mrs. Delbert (Lena) Sandon, former resident here, now living in Phoenix. The Martin's son Eugene was with his parents and is in critical condition in the Page hospital.
The Martins were enroute to their home in Evanston, Wyo., after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Hodges here and the Sandons in Phoenix. It is believed Mr. Martin fell asleep at the wheel.

Evanston, Wyo.- Joint funeral services for Lester Benjamin Martin, 64, and his wife, Mamie Zemp Martin, 59, Evanston, will be held Thursday,
1pm, Gilbert Bills Funeral Home.
He died Feb. 16, 1969 of injuries suffered in an automobile accident 12 miles south of Page, Ariz. She died Feb. 18, 1969 in a Page hospital of injuries suffered in the same accident.
He was born Oct. 13, 1902 at Belgrade, Neb. He married Mamie Zemp Dec. 25, 1927, Salt Lake City. Formerly a Wyoming state legislator; Former member of Evanston City Council; Partner in an A & W Rootbeer Stand in Evanston. Member, Albert Pike Commandry No. 4; Evanston Lodge No. 4, AF&AM.
Mrs. Martin was born Feb. 23, 1909 in Evanston, a daughter of Alfred E. and Mamie McQueen Zemp. Both were members of Esther Chapter, No. 9, Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include son and daughter, Eugene of Evanston; Mrs. William (LaVon) Palmer of Newark, Del.; his brother and sister, Gerald Martin of Fullerton, Neb., and Mrs. Lena Sandon of Phoenix, Ariz.; her brothers and sister, Charles Elmer, Emmett, Idaho; Frank E., Jefferson City, Mo. Mrs. Roy (Berniece) Brooks, Ogden, Utah.
Friends may call at the place of services Wednesday, 6-9pm, and Thursday before services. Burial at Evanston City Cemetery.
The family suggests contributions to Shriners.
