Lee Hunter Darrow, 81, a resident of Sedona, died Friday, July 29.
As a veterinarian, Mr. Darrow loved and cared for animals. He was a loyal member of Lions Club. He loved the sea and spent much of his time sailing off California and in the Caribbean Sea. When Mr. Darrow retired, he and his wife, Jane, moved to central California, where they ranched and raised animals. Before moving to Sedona, they lived eight years in Puerto Rico, and Mr. Darrow finally got his chance to sail as much as he wanted.
Mr. Darrow will be remembered for his spirit of adventure, caring and thoughtfulness. He was a wonderful father and grandfather.
Mr. Darrow was preceded in death by a son, Jeff; and is survived by his wife, Jane; two sons, Steve and Jay; stepchildren Nancy, Linda and Michael; two grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
