Red Rock News (Sedona AZ) Wednesday, August 3, 2005 Arthur Dykhuis, 78, a resident of Rimrock, died Thursday, July 28. Born Nov. 2, 1926, in Grand Rapids, Mich., Mr. Dykhuis attended Roseland Christian and Chicago Christian schools. Mr. Dykhuis retired from electrical contracting in Highland, Ind. He was a Christian and served as a deacon. He was a retired Fire Chief in Highland, Ind., and had been a volunteer firefighter. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. Mr. Dykhuis is survived buy his wife of 57 years, Gertrude Dykhuis; two sons, Arthur, of Chino Valley, and Jeffrey, of Lake Montezuma; two daughters, Sandra, of Payson, and Cynthia, of Merriville, Ind; a sister, Marge (and Andy), of Florida; and eight grandchildren. A visitation and funeral service were Monday, Aug. 1, at the Beaver Creek Baptist Church, in Rimrock. Donations in Mr. Dykhuis memory may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 9720 W.
