Died - Dillon - In Prescott, December 11, 1891, D. H. Dillon, aged 31 years. Deceased was born in Nevada.
He leaves a wife, father and mother, three brothers and five sisters to mourn their sad loss.
His wife is now in the east on a visit. He was taken with pneumonia, about ten days ago, near Copper Basin, and could not get to Prescott for two days; was delirious since Tuesday evening. Drs. Livingston and Sewell gave up all hope Thursday evening, but he lingered until four o'clock yesterday. Deceased came to Arizona in 1881, and has been engaged in mining since that time.
Deceased was well and favorably known in this section, where he was highly esteemed by all as an honorable and true man, who, it is safe to say, had not an enemy in the world. Nothing could be more sad than the cutting down of this young man in the very prime of life in the midst of devoted relatives and loving friends.
Even while he labored in his chosen field of usefulness, the sudden summons called him away, whither we know or not - we only know that he has gone where we surely follow. May the departed miner find richer and more lasting treasures awaiting him there than can be conceived of by the mind of man. All people sympathize with the bereaved ones.
Funeral will take place Monday next. Hour to be hereafter announced.
