THEOBALD, JR., Floyd Lauer


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 Floyd Lauer Theobald Jr., 95, passed from this life Friday, June 5, 2015, in his home. Lately of Tucson, Floyd was born and raised in Prescott, to mother Ethel, father Floyd Sr. The many fond stories he told of old Prescott kept the family entertained on many occasions. He learned piano at an early age and made his living for many years as a musician. After starting with the Postal Service, he continued working as a musician in Phoenix until his sixties. Later, his playing entertained fellow residents at the Forum of Tucson. He enjoyed fishing, mountaineering (member of Central Arizona Mountain Rescue Association) and he became certified as an EMT in his late 50s. He is survived by his sons, John (Donna), Tom (Wilda), Joe (Connie); and stepdaughter Rhonda Hallquist (Thomas Ryan). Wife Alice predeceased in 1999. Floyd's nine grandchildren were very dear to him. He was delighted to meet his first great-grandchild in May. There will be no services. Please consider a donation to Arizona Dachshund Rescue or Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
