Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Sylvia Kislingbury February 11, 1951 ~ June 24, 2015 Memorial Service for Sylvia will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Sylvia May Sawyer Kislingbury went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2015. Born in Winslow Feb 11, 1951 to Bob and Sylvia Sawyer. Memorial Service will be on Tues June 30, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is survived by sons, Jason and Stephen Kislingbury and daughter Amanda Kislingbury, all of Winslow. Sisters Georgia Beamon (Stewart) of Globe AZ, Margaret Barner of Winslow. After graduation from High School, she went to Virginia, to live with her sister, Georgia and Grandmother Annie Hayes. Enjoyed her time there and came back to Arizona, where she went to Cosmetology school, then went to work in beauty shops in Kingman, Globe, Payson, Apache Junction (where she met and married the Love of her Life Shorty Leroy Roggow, whom shortly afterwards passed away of walking pneumonia). She then moved back to Winslow, where she married again and had her children. She was very well known for her sense of humor and her smile. She could light up a room, just by her presence. You never saw her without a smile or a hug or a joke. She loved her children and her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews so much & in her later years her grandkids were her Life! She was 'Mom' to every child that came into her life. She was the definition of Love. She never knew a stranger, and always made everyone feel welcome and important. She was pretty well known for being mischievous! She was such a positive person, some of us called her Pollyana. Sylvia was a hairdresser to many families in this town. Very compassionate woman. She was a Supervisor for Accent Care, and made sure the elderly and disabled were well taken care of. She touched a lot of lives in this town. Sylvia is preceded in her death by her Mother Sylvia Hayes Sawyer in 1996, her Father Bob Sawyer in 1998, her Brother Bobby Sawyer in 1980, late husband Shorty Leroy Roggow in 1975. Sylvia is survived by and so proud of her own 8 grandchildren as well as her great nieces and nephews. She is survived to many, many friends and relatives.
