LYONS, Terry Michael (Mike)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, July 01, 2015 Terry Michael Lyons, "Mike" as everyone called him, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Hospice VA at Fort Whipple after a hard battle with pancreatic cancer. We say hard, because he was such a fighter. He fought cancer the same way he had fought MS. He met it head-on and just kept doing whatever he set his mind to do. Mike was born in Prescott, Arizona at the old hospital on Marina Street. In 1967, Mike graduated from Mingus Union High School in Jerome. Before going into the service, he married his sweetheart, Margie. He served six years in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He later graduated from NAU in Flagstaff. Mike loved to learn and was a lifelong learner. If he could read about something and had the tools, he could do it. He has planned and built from the ground-up computers, cars, ATV's, houses and several businesses. In his latest business, High Noon Tax and Accounting, he worked full time right up to being placed in Hospice. Whatever Mike set his mind to, he did well. He was a long-time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marjorie Eugenia (Hoffman) Lyons; and their two natural children, Terry Michael Lyons Jr. and Barbara Ann (Lyons) Hansen; and two adopted children, Warren Lyons-Wade and Denise Wade-Lyons; three foster children, Susan Phillips, David Wade and Kimberly Hatch; 14 grandchildren; and one great grandson. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Cline; and two sisters, Carolyn Cline and Judy Webber. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lorine Lyons. Mike will be greatly missed by his family, friends and clients. A viewing is at 11 a.m. with his funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the Chino Valley LDS Church, 441 W. Perkinsville Road, Chino Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Hospice VA at Fort Whipple. Please send donations to NAVAHCS - Hospice, 500 N. Highway 89, Prescott, AZ 86303; ATTN: Hospice GFC #9055. Chino Valley Funeral Home assisted the family. Information provided by survivors.
