TALLEY, III, Maynard Eugene

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/23/2015 Maynard Eugene Talley III died June 18, 2015, at his home in Cave Creek. He was born Oct. 22, 1957, in Nogales to Maynard Eugene Talley Jr. and Betty Smoot Talley. Maynard proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy for 22 years where he attained the rank of chief petty officer in the Submarine Service. Upon retirement from the Navy, Maynard made his home in Virginia Beach, Va. He traveled extensively throughout the U.S. in his motor home and was a long-term member of a billiards league. Maynard was also an avid reader and had a very large collection of books. He recently moved back to Arizona to be closer to his family. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Ceclie Ann and Lindsey Gene. Maynard is survived by his mother, Betty, and brother William. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, at Shadow Mountain Mortuary Chapel, 2350 E Greenway Road, Phoenix.
