The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/10/2015 Evelina Lupe James went to be with the Lord surrounded by loved ones July 2, 2015, in Cibecue after a long battle of illness. She was born Dec. 3, 1946, to William Lupe Jr. and Alice Haven Lupe. Evelina was born and raised in Cibecue. Evelina liked to travel and serve the Lord more than anything else. Evelina graduated from Miracle Valley Bible College in 1968 and was currently a pastor for Cibecue Miracle Church for the past 18 years up until her death. She is survived by her son, Aaron James; daughter Sharon James; brother Larait Gregg and Warren Lupe; three grandchildren, Brian James, Lanisha (Cory) James Anderson and Tanya James; three great-grandchildren; and the Cibecue Miracle congregation. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin James; parents William Lupe Jr. and Alice Haven Lupe; and her brother and sisters. A wake for Evelina will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, at her residence of 32 S. Cibecue Road in Cibecue. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 12, also at her residence in Cibecue. Interment will follow at the Open Range Cemetery in Cibecue. Silver Creek Mortuary of Pinetop handled arrangements.
