Jack Edward Tanner, 87, of Las Vegas, Nev., died June 29, 2015. Jack was born to Roy C. and Lilly Belle Tanner in Waynesboro, Miss.
Jack was a U.S. Army veteran.
He worked as an electrician for eight years at the Nevada Test Site as well as many years in many other states as an electrician. His spare time was spent driving Sprint cars for many years. He was an owner of a Sprint car and passed this passion down to his grandsons. He also enjoyed fishing.
Jack is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eloise; daughter Jackie (Clint); two grandsons, Darrell (Holly) and Jeremy (Tami); his two step-great-grandchildren, Anthony and Kelsie. He also has one great-grandchild on the way.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at the Show Low Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered by the veterans of the White Mountains.
