South Bend Tribune (Indiana) Wednesday, February 18, 2015 Vanessa Lorraine Fry, 52, of Dowagiac, passed away at home on Sunday, February 15, 2015, with her family by her side. Vanessa was born on September 16, 1962, to George and Jo Ann (Hayes) Holmes in Wickenburg, Arizona. After graduating from high school Vanessa earned her Associate Degree in Business Management. She was a radio broadcaster for many years. Vanessa was preceded in death by her mother, Jo Ann Holmes, and survived by her father, George Holmes; daughter, Vincenza Fry of South Bend, Indiana; three grandchildren; and siblings, George (Zena) Holmes of Mundelein, Illinois, Vernon Holmes of White Pine, Tennessee, Vincenza (Ronald) Ferguson of Dowagiac, Michigan, Roger (Barb) Holmes of Germany, Jordan Holmes of Saginaw, Michigan and Amanda Holmes of Jacksonville, Florida. In keeping with Vanessa's wishes, she has been cremated and her family will be holding a graveside service in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
