Lewis Byford Patten Jr. (1947 - 2015)
Lew died peacefully February 17, 2015 at his home in Black Canyon City, AZ from cancer. He was 67.
He is survived by his son Scott (Melinda), grandchildren Jacksen and Kylie, brother Cliff and sister Fran Henry, nephew Kevin (Marsha) and grandnephews Pierson and Nathan, niece Tracy (Eduardo) Balarezo, grandnephew Marco and grandniece Sofia.
A 1965 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, Lew served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Long Beach, USS England, and the USS Jouett. He graduated from Columbia College in Centennial, Colorado in 1979. Lew installed alarms in banks and also worked as a carpenter.
His hobbies included leather working, wood working, bowling, single-action competitive shooting, fishing and riding his ATV in the desert with his dog, Rusty.
