CHAPMAN, Fullmer Adair


Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Fullmer Adair Chapman January 3, 1927 ~ July 16, 2015 Fullmer Adair Chapman, 88, of Taylor, Arizona passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 16, 2015 following 3 months after his eternal sweetheart passed away. Fullmer was born on January 3, 1927 to Welcome Fullmer “Chink” Chapman and Imogene Adair “Jean” Chapman. He was raised in Bluewater, New Mexico, and started high school in Grants and then the family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. He finished High School there and enrolled in a ROTC college class in Salt Lake City, UT. When he was old enough to join the Army Air Corps he did so as he loved his country and it was at war with Japan. He trained in Washington DC, Spokane, Washington and Fort Myers VA. . He served in the Army Air Corps from 1945 to late 1949, fighting in World War II. When the war ended he returned home and made the decision to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Fullmer served a mission in the New England States. Upon returning he met his sweetheart, LaDonna Lunt, in San Francisco and married her shortly thereafter. He was a carpenter, salesman, insurance agent, realtor, dairyman, businessman, as well as a wonderful father and husband. He is survived by his daughter: Jana Turley (Lowell Vern Turley), son: Edward Fullmer Chapman (Marilyn McCullough), Daughter: Adele Chapman (Edward Fanning), son: Phillip Lunt Chapman (Leslie Chapman), son: Joel Lunt Chapman (Susanne Chapman), 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents: Welcome “Chink” Fullmer Chapman and Imogene “Jean” Adair Chapman, son: Curtis Blair Chapman, grandson: Nathaniel Murphy “Nate” Fanning, brother: Philip Chapman, brother: Gordon “Lamar” Chapman, and sister: Betty Jean Chapman Martin. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Centennial Chapel in Taylor, AZ.
