MARBLE, Betty

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/21/2015 Betty Marble, 84, of Mesa, formerly of Lakeside, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert. Betty was born Sept. 19, 1930, in Washington, Ind., to Harley and Gladys Wilson. Her family moved to Tucson in 1946 where she met John W. Marble Jr. They were married in March 1949. In 1965, John and Betty moved to Lakeside, where they raised their four boys, John, Dan, Troy and Roger. Betty worked as an administrative assistant for the accounting firm Henry & Horne LLP for over 20 years. She also served as treasurer for the Lakeside Water District during the same period. Betty is survived by her brother, Don (Sharon) Wilson of Tucson, sons John III (Lynda) of Lakeside, Dan (Mary) and Troy (Heidi), both of Washington, and Roger (Wendi) of Gilbert; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John and brother Bob Wilson. A private ceremony will be held in Chandler for the immediate family.
