The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/24/2015 Gene R. Highmoor, 71, resident of Hesperia, Calif., died May 25, 2015, at his home in Hesperia from natural causes. He was born Aug. 12, 1944, in Rochesster, N.Y. Gene served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Contel, GTE and retired from Verizon after 39 years in the business. Gene collected records, antiques and insulators. He is survived by Pamela Adelman of Show Low and Amy Highmoor of Honolulu, Hawaii. He was preceded in death by Amber Adelman, Tyler Adelman, Angela Nagel, Annie Nagel and Laura Navel. A memorial was held in Hesperia, Calif. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Show Low. Halls Memorial Chapel in Victorville, Calif., handled arrangements.
