Mexican Shot At Ash Fork Expires
(From Tuesday's Daily)
Francisco Basquez, who was shot at Ash Fork, Friday morning, by Enrique Barajos, succumbed last night at 6 o'clock, from the wounds he received, at the County hospital.
Two bullets entered his breast. They were the ones that proved fatal, the other wounds being of minor consideration. The attending physician held out no hope whatever from the first, and his death followed in great agony.
Barajos has not yet been captured, and from the time of the shooting to the present no trace of him has been learned. It is reported that he was seen in this city Sunday evening, several Mexicans making the statement.
Transcriber's note: Some variations of the surname are Bustos and Bastus. Burial is at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona in an unmarked grave.
