McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, Safford, Arizona Irene De La O March 22, 1924 - July 28, 2015 Irene F. De La O, 91 of Safford, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 with her loving family at her side. She was born on March 22, 1924 in Morenci, to Patricio and Maria Flores. Irene grew up in Morenci and graduated from Morenci High School. She married Louie De La O, on March 23, 1944. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker to her family. She was a den mother for the Boy Scouts. She loved to cook, and volunteer for various events. She is survived by her sons, Arnold De La O, of Safford, and Michael De La O (Brenda) of Safford; daughter, Patsy (Anthony) Armenta of Mammoth; brother, Manuel Flores of Morenci; 11 grandchildren, Chris, Nicole, Garrett, Janae, Aaron, Lisa, Michelle, Brian, Erika, Michael and Taylor; and 11 great grandchildren, Tyler, Abby, Cameron, Javan, Mackenna, Evan, Clarissa, Jonathan, Kendra, Skylar, and Kynlee; one great great grandchild, Addison. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louie; sister, Mila Flores; and aunt, Guillermina Chavez. Viewing will be from 6- 8 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015 with Rosary at 7 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Safford Cemetery.
