Misty Brooke was born April 16, 1981, in Bellflower California to Robert (Buddy) and Cheryl Musick. Misty their oldest would be followed by three brothers and two sisters: Brian, Michael, Janelle, Shannon and Josh.
Though her life began in California, her family moved to Wickenburg, Arizona in 1988.
As a child her creative bent from her mother became clearly evident as she began drawing, singing, playing the piano and clarinet. Her work ethic and focus from her father made her excel at almost all she set her mind to do. She shined as she moved into her teen years singing in choirs and musicals in church and school, even being recognized in national talent competition singing in a trio.
At age 18 she married Ralph Lockett, and on November 27, 1999 she welcomed to the world her first son Carlos. Carlos was joined by a brother Brendon on February 16, 2002.
In 2004 She married Mark Sanchez and to their union was born Josiah on April 24, 2005. Misty and Mark made their home in Prescott Valley and both pursued careers in the medical field, Misty first as an HR Director, then EMT, and then Graduation from Yavapai College pinned as an Registered Nurse. She served as a very gifted nurse for many.
Misty’s life was filled with not just music, but she so enjoyed camping, hiking, motorcycles, art and filling the lives of those around her with humor and some would say living her life on the edge…. Kid Rock’s Song “Born Free” was a favorite. She inspired many with her optimistic approach to life and contagious humor.
Misty’s life came to a tragic end in a vehicle accident in North Phoenix on July 27, 2015.
Misty is survived by her parents Buddy and Cheryl Musick of Wickenburg; Siblings: Brian (Heather) Musick of Wickenburg; Michael Musick of Oak Ridge, TN; Janelle (Travis) Snyder of Prescott Valley; Shannon (Brent) Mickle of Surprise and Josh Musick of Surprise.
