Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Henry Kessay Jr. March 01, 1949 ~ August 02, 2015 Henry Kessay Jr. went to be with the Lord after a long battle of illness on August 2, 2015 in Olympia, WA. Henry was born March 1, 1949 to Henry Kessay Sr. and Luna Kessay. Henry lived in multiple places throughout his life including: McNary, Whiteriver, Texas, California, Vietnam, Korea, Kentucky and Washington. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. Henry met and married Chung Ye on July 2, 1975 in Korea. He got his AA Degree of Engineering at Eastern Arizona Community College in Thatcher, Arizona. Henry went to Assembly of God Church. Henry is an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War; he joined in 1970 and retired in 1990 at an E-7 Rank with honors. He is survived by his mother: Luna C. Kessay; mother: Chung Ye Kessay; son: Henry Kessay III; daughter: Sylvia Graves; son-in-law: Josh Graves; daughter-in-law: Mala Kessay; grandchildren: Henry Kessay IV, Sophie Graves and Oscar Graves; all of Olympia, Washington; two brothers; five sisters; and many nieces, nephews, family relatives and friends. Henry is preceded in death by his father: Henry Kessay Sr.; sisters: Mirian, Mary, Cynthia, Thelma and Deloris Kessay. A wake for Henry was held Sunday August 8, 2015 at 1:00pm in Diamond Creek. His funeral took place Monday August 10, 2015 at 10:00am at the Rose of Sharon Pentecostal Church. Interment followed at Golden Gulch Cemetery.
