The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 Debra Leigh Roberts of Chino Valley passed away July 30, 2015, peacefully from the arms of her loving family into the loving arms of her Lord. She was born Jan. 14, 1955 in Orange City, Iowa to Kenneth and Elizabeth VandeBerg. Debbie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 17 years Doug; her loving daughter and son-in- law Jenny and Louie; sons Ricky and Jeff; children by marriage Cassie, Jessieka and Cody; 13 beautiful grandchildren; one great grandchild; and cherished nieces and nephews. Debbie is also survived by her loving mother Elizabeth; sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Bob; and her brother and sister-in-law David and Danni. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth VandeBerg. Her passion and joy was care-giving, especially for the elderly and the veterans. Debbie was an angel in disguise and worked as a CNA at the Prescott VA providing the kind, dedicated and compassionate service that she was known and appreciated for by those she cared for. Debbie spread her lifelong love and passion of music, art and poetry throughout her family. She gave unconditional love to her husband, family, and to everyone she met. Debbie loved the mountains, all animals, and sharing anything to do with the outdoors with her loving husband. Debbie treasured the Christmas spirit and if it was up to her, it would last all year long! Her angelic smile, contagious laugh and generous heart will be forever cherished and deeply missed. DaVot! A Celebration of Life service in honor of Debbie will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at the Chino Valley United Methodist Church, 735 E. Road 1 South in Chino Valley, Arizona.
