Derrill Allen Stock, 47, of Springerville died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, in Globe. He was born Aug. 15, 1967, in Phoenix to Loran and Hazel Stock. Derrill was the youngest of four siblings, who were Randy, Colleen and Terry.
Growing up alongside Derrill was his partner in crime, Caru. Side by side in his Chevy El Camino, Caru and Derrill were always up to no good, trouble was never far behind them and they formed a special brotherly bond over the course of many years.
Derrill lived in Phoenix until the age of 34, working for Whirlpool, and began raising his four children with wife Ruth.
In 2001 he and his family relocated to the small town of Springerville.
In his early years of living in Springerville, he worked as a commercial truck driver and would take his children along with him.
They got to travel across the country with their father, forming a special bond which they will never forget.
Then in 2007 Derrill began his career in the logging industry working for Walker Brothers Bontracting, where he worked the majority of his remaining years.
Derrill’s love for the outdoors slowly grew into a passion and it is where his family has some of their greatest memories with him. They went four wheeling, camping and shooting. He also enjoyed his one-on-one fishing trips with his father, Loran.
Although, Derrill loved the woods and the outdoors he also enjoyed taking his family on an annual trip to the beach and Six Flags. He was a thrill-seeker and always wanted to be doing something exciting.
Derrill is survived by his four children, Dwight, Kyle, Rajae and Wade; five grandchildren, Adalee, Logan, Harlie, Thayer and baby Hadley (who will be born in December).
Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, in Springerville, at the Eagar 3rd Ward, 150 N. Aldrice Burk Dr.
A family gathering will begin at 10 am, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m.
Derrill will be missed immensely; he will always be loved and never forgotten.
