WHITE, Alfred I.


Fosters (Rochester NH) Friday, May 22, 2015 Zephyrhills, Fla.--Alfred I. White passed away in the comfort of his home in Zephyrhills, Fla. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Born in Haverhill, MA on February 27, 1933, he was the son of Norman and Sarita (Condon) White. He was raised in Dover, NH and attended Dover High School, Class of 1951. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1951 and served on the USS Barton, stationed in Japan during the Korean War until 1955. He is a Lifetime Member of the VFW Post 8154 in Zephyrhills and a member of the AM Vets of Zephyrhills, and the American Legion Post 7 in Rochester, NH. Al worked many years for the former Great Falls Products in Rochester, NH, Brockhouse Mfg. in Exeter, NH and Salmon Falls Precision in Rochester, NH until his retirement. He moved to Zephyrhills in 2002. He was also a call firefighter for many years with the Gonic, NH Fire Department. Al is preceded in death by his wife, Juliette Dupont White on April 14, 1999 after 43 years of marriage; his sisters: Shirley Smith in June 1976 and Ann Dame on March 16, 2015. Surviving him are his five children: Tracey and husband Bruce Daigle of Zephyrhills, Fla.; Tammy Brooks of Riverview, Fla.; Shaun White of Wickenburg, AZ; Kevin White and wife Stacey of Uncasville, Conn.; Sharman and husband Victor Lyons of Gonic, NH; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at Grondin's Funeral Home in Rochester, NH on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2pm, followed by burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Gonic.
