JOHNSON, Michael F.

Los Alamos Monitor (NM) Wednesday, June 24, 2015 Michael F. Johnson, 59, of Los Alamos, NM, passed away on June 19, 2015 in Santa Fe, NM from complications from chemotherapy. Born on March 10, 1956 in Ogden, UT to Ralph Grange Johnson Jr. and Athleen Folger. Michael served an LDS mission in the Michigan, Lansing mission. He married Connie Leone Blair on July 12, 1979 in the Salt Lake Temple. Michael and Connie lived in Layton, UT, Wickenburg, AZ, eventually settling in Los Alamos, NM. Michael owned Johnson Brothers Electric with his brother LeGrand. A dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Michael held callings throughout his life, most recently on the High Council in the Santa Fe Stake. Michael is survived by his wife Connie, their children: Kimberly, Jamie (Taylor Cardon), Timothy (Heidi), Shelli (Kent Nyland), Heather (Michael Leavenworth), and Katherine; grandchildren: Diego, Nylie, Michael & Brian Cardon, Hyrum, Isaac, Lydia & Skyler Johnson and Thomas Leavenworth; siblings: Darrel (Judy), Diane, Athleen (Bill Moss), Ralph (Gail), and LeGrand. Services will be held on June 25, 2015 at the LDS chapel in Los Alamos, 1967 18th St., Los Alamos, NM 87544, with a viewing from 9-10:30am and funeral to follow at 11am. Michael will be laid to rest at the Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, NM.
