Arrangements by Hampton Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, September 30, 2015 Claudia Elaine Smith, age 81, of Prescott Valley, entered into Heaven on Aug. 24, 2015. Claudia was born on July 27, 1934, in Bradford, Pennsylvania to Earl W. and Gladys M. Morris. After graduation, Claudia moved to Phoenix, Arizona, with her parents to join other family members. She then met the love of her life and married our father, Max Smith. They were long time members of the Albright United Methodist Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Claudia worked part- time for the American Cancer Society and was happily raising her two daughters. After moving to Prescott, Arizona, she continued to raise her family and became an active member and deaconess of the First Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a generous, loving heart. She is survived by her two daughters, Shari Martin (Bill) and Tami Longfield (Mark). Claudia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years. A Memorial service/Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at First Baptist Church in the Solid Rock Center, corner of S. Marina and Union streets, with a reception to follow at the center. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
