The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, September 06, 2015 Mittie E. Cobey, 95, longtime resident of Prescott, passed away on Sept. 1, 2015 at the Peaceful Valley Care Center. She was born Sept. 16, 1919 in Phoenix to Samuel and Jessie Akin. She was preceded in death by Walter J. Cobey, husband; James L. Cobey, son; and Carol J. Schmoyer, daughter. She is survived by children, Joe (Cathi) Cobey of Kirkland, Arizona and John (Bobbie Jo) Cobey of Prescott, Arizona; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Homemaking was her specialty, but worked at the old plastic factory and Aquarium Pump along with various jobs of childcare. She will be remembered for her love for family, her extraordinary skills in hosting and her dedication to volunteer work as a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Prescott Lioness and Elks Ladies. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott, Arizona, with graveside to follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Mt. View Cemetery, 1051 Willow Creek Road, Prescott. Services entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary. Information provided by survivors.
