Redlands Daily Facts (CA) Friday, January 5, 2007 Sylvia June Putnam, a longtime resident of Redlands, died Dec. 20 in Redlands, following an illness. She was 82. She was born in San Bernardino and lived 62 years in Redlands where she was a partner in Putnam's Marine Sales and Service. She was also a teacher with the Redlands Unified School District, at Mentone Elementary School. She enjoyed traveling and rock-hounding, and she was a Master Gardener. Survivors include her daughter Linda Putnam of Yucaipa; her sons Craig Putnam of Redlands, Charles Putnam of El Centro and Bryce Putnam of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren. Her husband, Warren Putnam, died 13 years ago. A private service is planned for the spring. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
