Carmelita B. Sanchez, 83, of Prescott Valley, Arizona, departed this life Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 in Prescott, Arizona. She was born Thursday, March 14, 1932 in La Porte, Colorado, to Anastacio Trujillo and Manuelita Apodaca Trujillo.
Carmelita (Carmen) married Reginaldo (Reggie) in 1951. They raised three children in Wyoming before moving to Prescott Valley, Arizona in 2000. Carmen worked in retail, school lunch programs, and in care giving.
She is survived by her husband, Reggie Sanchez; children, Leslie Sanchez of Thornton, Colorado, Steve Sanchez and wife Kim of Cave Creek, Arizona, Noreen Kelly and husband Gary of Skull Valley, Arizona; four grandchildren, Laurie Sang of Gilbert, Arizona, Randy Sanchez of Phoenix; Kevin Moffett and wife Serenity of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Ashley Czabaj and husband Mike of Salt Lake City, Utah; four great grandchildren, Skyler and Andrew Sanchez, Colby Sang and Blair Moffett. Carmen was an amazing and wonderful wife, mother, friend and neighbor. She will be truly missed by all.
A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with rosary at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Arizona.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 at St Germaine Catholic Church, 7997 E. Dana St., Prescott Valley, Arizona.
