The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Saturday, September 26, 2015 Francella (Sally) Kohnke-Towne passed away Sept. 5, 2015, at 96 years of age, was born Sept. 26, 1918, in Gardner, Massachusetts to Alice Blossom May and Edgar Royal May, the first of their five children. She earned an Accounting Degree then worked at Raytheon where she ordered supplies for the Manhattan Project and also served in the USO during WWII. Postmaster in Kirkland, Arizona for more than 30 years, member of Yavapai Sheriff's posse, avid traveler including both North and South America plus 35 more countries. She was preceded in death by her brother Courtland May, husbands Bill Kohnke and Fred Towne. She is survived by brothers Judson and Edgar May; sisters-in-law Cay and Dorothy; sister Carol Lathrop; and brother-in-law Clifford; stepson John Towne; and their families. Celebration of life memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at the Community Church of Sun Village, 17300 N.
