The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, October 04, 2015 William 'Bill' G. Doyle 11-27-30 to 09-13-15 William G. Doyle (Bill) passed into heaven on Sept. 13, 2015, after a brief bout with cancer. He is survived by his children, Jean Marie Thrasher (Larry), Bill Doyle Jr (Barbara), Michael Doyle, and Lizz Doyle; his stepchildren, Maggie (Frank) Dawson, Thomas Stephens and Gene Hussey; his brother, Owen Doyle, and sister Jean Schwappach; four grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. Bill Sr. was 84 at the time of his passing. He was preceded in death by his wives, Lois (Pearson) Doyle and Kathy (Fitzpatrick) Doyle; parents, Dr. Larry O. and Vern Doyle; sisters Peggy Fine and Patty Hilligos; and brothers Larry and John Doyle. Bill loved to be active always and was an accomplished athlete and championship golfer. He enjoyed tennis, cards, music and a good meal out with friends. He also was devoted to the arts, enjoying plays and the symphony on a regular basis. After a career in construction and finance, Bill remained active in his devotion to entrepreneurial opportunities and was always talking about one deal or another. Fiercely independent and feisty until the end, Bill passed quietly in his sleep, on his own terms. A memorial funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10 at noon, with a reviewal gathering one hour prior (11 a.m.), at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 2062 N Highway 89, Chino Valley, AZ 86323.
