The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, October 04, 2015 Edward G. Everett Former Prescott Valley resident Edward G. Everett passed away on Sept. 24, 2015, at the home of his sister, Dawn MacTaggart, in Amarillo, Texas. He was 86 years old. He was born on May 3, 1929, to Gerald and Elizabeth Everett in Dalhart, Texas. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1948. While stationed in San Diego, he met and married Vivian Armintrout on March 29, 1952. Ed retired in November 1969, and for the next several years worked for several different school systems in San Diego. After earning his Business Administration degree, he was offered a position in 1981 as director of maintenance for the International Schools in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. In 1989, they resigned their contract and returned to San Diego. In 1990, they moved to Prescott Valley. Each year they traveled to countries of Asia or visits to Ireland, England, Holland, South Africa, Canada, Alaska, and the western U.S. Ed is survived by a daughter, Karen (Dave) Hall; a son, Keith (Linda) Everett; one grandson, three granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Dawn MacTaggart, of Amarillo and her daughter, Pam Wiggins; a sister, Marilynn McAlister; two brothers, Richard (Walli) Everett and David (Pam) Everett; and many friends worldwide. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vivian, and his son, Richard. Services are pending. Information provided by survivors.
