UPTON, Donald (Don)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, October 04, 2015 Donald Upton After a protracted battle with cancer, Donald Upton passed away on Sept. 27, 2015, in Dewey, Arizona, at the age of 52, his family by his side. He leaves behind his wife, Alyssa Upton; his stepsons, Ryan and Anthony; and his beloved pets, Lucky and Bella. Don was born on Jan. 26, 1963, in Newfane, New York, to parents Mel and Jean Upton, who have predeceased him. He grew up in a large, loving family with two sisters, Barbara Schendl and Bonnie Smith; and two brothers, Randy and Jimmy Upton, with many nieces and nephews. Don moved to Arizona about 20 years ago, where he worked as a commercial electrician in such projects as Boeing, Prescott Valley library and town hall, as well as his favorite, projects in and around the Grand Canyon. Don is survived by his wife as well as her family, mother Barbara Kyte with husband Terry; father John Farace and Joe Tinker; sisters Gina Higa and husband Glenn, Anjanette Valenta and husband David, and Myra Johnson; brother Kyle Farace and wife Jennifer, and numerous nieces and nephews. Don requested to be cremated and has requested no funeral services. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering with a date TBA.
