He was a retired insurance agent. He enjoyed wood carving. His wife of 50 years, Mae V. Johnson preceded him in death. He leaves a daughter, Wendy L. Johnson of Scottsdale; two granddaughter, Kristine Beecher and Joanne Underwood; and two great-grandchildren, Angel (age 12) and Aaron (age 9). There are no public services planned.
