ROMERO, Luis Antonio


The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Saturday, September 26, 2015 Luis Antonio Romero Age: 92 Born in St. Louis, Missouri, December 15, 1922 Died in Cornville, Arizona, September 21, 2015 Retired from Goodyear Aeronautical in Phoenix as a Technical and Commercial Artist. Luis was a WWII Veteran. He served in the US Army as a Technician, Fifth Grade from February 1943 to October 1945. He studied art at Washington University in St. Louis, MO; and Los Angeles, CA. Throughout his adult life, Luis Romero gained renown and numerous awards in California and Arizona as a Creative Artist. Luis was a long time member of Sedona Elks Lodge #2291 and served as Exalted Ruler 1990-1991. His favorite Hobbies were ballroom dancing, golf and giving spiritual readings. Memorial service will be held at Greer's Mortuary of Sedona, 2725 W. Hwy. 89 A at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 3, 2015. Surviving Luis are his wife, Eve Adams-Romero; daughters, Cindy Marie Kennedy and Cary Lynn Johnson. Memorial contributions may be donated in Luis Romero's name to Susan J. Rheem ADC at 636 N.
